Dear Students,

To ensure academic integrity and comply with accreditation standards (MÜDEK) during the preparation of graduation theses, the following points must be strictly followed:

1. Guidelines and Template ComplianceAll graduation theses must be prepared in full compliance with the current Thesis Writing Guidelines. In the provided template, the titles of the first two chapters are standardized as follows:

• Chapter I: Introduction
• Chapter II: Project Design Criteria, Engineering Standards, Technical and Non-Technical Design Constraints

These titles must remain exactly as they appear in the template; however, the content must be prepared uniquely according to the scope of your project and the data obtained. Subsequent chapters (Chapter III and onwards) will be structured based on the technical content of your study.

2. Chapter II: Project Design Criteria, Engineering Standards, Technical and Non-Technical Design ConstraintsIn accordance with MÜDEK criteria, engineering design is not merely a matter of technical calculations; it must be shaped within the framework of realistic constraints and global goals. In this chapter, you are expected to detail the following items specific to your project:

• Technical and Non-Technical Constraints: Define the factors that determine your design decisions and project boundaries. In this context, constraints such as physical conditions, material limits, and relevant standards must be analyzed alongside economic, environmental, social, ethical, or occupational health and safety factors.
• Alignment with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Evaluate the contribution of your design to global sustainability goals. In your content, you must explain how your engineering choices relate to at least two of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals most relevant to your project (e.g., resilient infrastructure, sustainable cities, responsible consumption, clean water, etc.).
